Rochester Primary School

The Warrior Connection

The Warrior Connection is Rochester Primary School’s monthly newsletter designed to keep families informed, engaged, and connected. Each issue offers important updates, highlights, celebrations, and helpful tips to support our young Warriors at home. We believe that strong relationships between school and home lay the foundation for lifelong learning. This newsletter is one way we stay connected—because when we work together, our youngest Warriors thrive.

A message from your friendly principal, Ms. Cearns

Angie Lang, Nicole Kernutt, Dani Cearns, Yazmin Hernandez

Dear RPS Families,

The school year is about to start and our AMAZING staff is busy preparing to welcome students and families. The halls are lined with welcoming bulletin boards, the classrooms are set up to engage students and our amazing maintenance crew has our campus and building sparkling! To help your child with the transition to school, please consider the following ideas-

*Start building your student's bedtime routine (often times summer hours lead to tired students)

*Read a few books

*Practicing writing

*Help get your student excited about school

*Limit screen time

Enjoy the rest of the summer and we will see you soon!

Ms. Cearns

We'd love for you to bring your students school supplies to their connecting for success conference. This helps our teachers be prepared for the first day of school.

Each school's supply list is posted on their homepage — just look for the quick link in the top right corner of the screen. You can also find all supply lists under the Parent/Student Resources section on our district website - 25-26 School Supply Lists | Rochester School District.

Free school supplies will be available for low-income Rochester School District students at ROOF (10140 Hwy 12 SW, Rochester, behind the District Office) on August 21. This year, the Rochester School District will no longer be using REMIND. We are switching to a program called ROOMS. Your student's teacher will be inviting you to use ROOMS soon. Just like REMIND, you will be able to message our nurse and front office staff as well. You will learn more about this at your child's conference. To get started, please download our school district ap.
